Many Volvo’s have an onboard computer system which brings up a message to remind you that your service is due. This is called the Service Reminder Indicator. It’s non-critical in terms of driving at that very moment, but it is a guide to when you should be thinking about booking your vehicle in for some due care and attention.

Your owner’s manual will also advise you on the recommended schedule for your model, but typically, most cars should have a service annually or every 12,000 miles. It’s worth noting, though, that the timing and frequency of Volvo servicing is as much dependent on your personal driving habits and conditions as anything else.
